The Story Behind Anuvuti
- When my school years were coming to an end, I knew exactly what I was going to do.
- I had to become an engineer and get a job after graduating from college — a dream that every Bengali middle-class family holds for their only son.
- But life had other plans.
- When I was just 13 years old, my father lost his job. Our family started facing serious financial difficulties. At that moment, I realized that I had a responsibility — I had to support my family.
- I worked hard and got admission into an engineering college with a full scholarship. That was the only way I could continue my education.
- During my college days, I felt a strong urge to do something meaningful. Along with my friends, I started an initiative called Independent Socio Group (ISG). Our goal was to help physically challenged and underprivileged children.
- Even with limited resources, we managed to work with over 200 people. That experience changed me. It was my first step toward creating impact.
- After completing my engineering, I got a job at KEC International. It was a proud moment for my family. My job in Mumbai was supposed to be the beginning of a secure life.
- But deep inside, I knew — my purpose was bigger.
- That purpose led to the birth of Anuvuti.
